Writer, tour guide, sojourner on this good earth – this blog reflects Bee Smith’s creative life lived within the region of Cavan and Fermanagh, known as the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark. I teach creative writing workshops within the geopark as Word Alchemy and am on the panel of tutors for the Irish Arts Council’s Writers in Prison programme.
Born in the USA, I lived in England for nearly twenty years before moving with my husband to the Republic of Ireland in 2001. By serendipity, W.B. Yeats and the Goddess Brigid, we landed in West Cavan, where we have lived ever since. We live in an extended cottage with three dogs, two indoor cats, and a semi-tamed feline Tuxedo Tomcat on an acre and a quarter in the first village on the River Shannon.
Bee Smith is the author of the e-book of poems Brigid’s Way: Reflections of the Celtic Divine Feminine.
